The European annual showcase is build on established series of local, regional and national IMAGINE showcases in Belgium, Croatia, France, Slovenia, Sweden, Norway.There will be 2 showcases during the Project, Norway 2010 www.imagine2010.no and Belgium 2011. 21.03.2011.

Prosjekt: IMAGINE
IMAGINE aims to develop European level annual event, IMAGINE Showcase that brings young musicians from local communities into the spotlight, providing performance experience, musical skills training, increased music industry knowledge and visibility contributing to professionalization and improving access to professional opportunities within the European music sector. The European annual showcase is build on established series of local, regional and national IMAGINE showcases in Belgium, Croatia, France, Slovenia, Sweden, Norway.
There will be 2 showcases during the Project, Norway 2010 www.imagine2010.no and Belgium 2011. They feature top bands discovered through local, regional and national activities, and serve as a unique young talent pool accessible to international festival organizers and other music industry professionals.
IMAGINE will expand over the boundaries of one time annual event by targeted initiatives all year round: a) Multilateral Exchanges between young bands increasing the geographical and social outreach of musicians. There will be 24 exchanges 2010 and 48 exchanges 2011; b)Young Musicians Training Scheme preparing young bands for future careers, providing them with skills that support their employability at the music market. The project offers 4 young musicians training sessions (part of the IMAGINE showcases) and 4 follow-up professional sessions for the 2 showcase’s winning bands; c) Young Organizers Training Scheme including Training for Trainers that establishes a young volunteer and work experience program for youth volunteers and organizers that work on local IMAGINE festivals and showcases. There will be 4 trainings in 24 months period.
As such the project will: a) improve European level coordination and cooperation; b) create exchange and training programs to increase trans-national mobility of musicians and cultural operators; c) ensure that tomorrows’ Europe maintains a rich and diverse musical culture, with artists of highest level of excellence.
IMAGINE 2020 - ARTS AND CLIMATE CHANGE
Climate Change is the greatest challenges of the 21st century. Eleven arts organizations in nine European countries share a sense of responsibility to rise up to this challenge and harness the power of the imagination to bring about change required for the re-invention of modern society. They will use their passion, their expertise, and their connections within the art world and beyond to engage the European cultural sector and use its creative potential to raise awareness, involving the public both as audience and as participants.
Objectives:
To research the unique role European artists/arts organizations can play as catalyst for change
To practice environmentally sustainable ways of producing /touring while maintaining trans-national mobility of artists/art works
To create unexpected spaces for dialogue between arts, science, and civil society
To contribute to the cultural memory of this crucial time.
Results:
A strong body of innovative artistic work addressing Climate Change
A consolidation of cultural initiatives to become an important voice in the European Climate Change debate
Awareness among diverse audiences and change in their behavior
A set of tools for artists/arts institutions to integrate Climate Change concerns in their working practices.

CONNECT: conferences, seminars, debates, campaigns
LEARN and EXCHANGE: workshops, summer schools, artist mentoring, advise on structural change, “Transition Theatre Camps”, resource centre/web-site
COMMUNICATE and DOCUMENT: on-going documentation plus print-on-demand publication, European communications strategy, new means of communication
